At our residential care home in Newcastle Emlyn, Carmarthenshire, we provide a secure, relaxed, and homely environment in which our individuals, wellbeing, and comfort are of prime importance. Our compassionate professionals offer autism care as well as assistance for adults who have learning difficulties and tailor care plans to their individual needs.

and dignity is also achieved with recognition of the core values of care that are fundamental to the philosophy of our home.
Core Values of Care
All care staff within the home are appropriately qualified and trained to deliver the highest standards of care. A continuous staff training programme is implemented to ensure that these high standards are maintained in line with the latest developments in care practices as laid down in appropriate legislation, regulations, and the national minimum standards under the Care Standards Act 2000.
Team of Professionals
Foel Farm Residential Care home employs 16 members of staff. During the day there are a variety of staff plus members of the management team on duty, all with different skills, knowledge and experience. On duty at night is one waking staff member, as well as a person from the management team on call, on the farm. All staff on duty join our individuals for meal and refreshment breaks around a large ‘family’ dining table.
Careful Selection
Our staff are selected for their qualities of reliability, integrity, friendliness, and professionalism, and also their interpersonal and care skills. They are also carefully screened with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and all references are checked thoroughly.
Our Location
Foel Farm Residential Care Home consists of a large farmhouse on the west side of a farmyard. Set on approximately 100 acres of farm fields and woodland, The homes of Janet, Lukie and Lindsey are all situated nearby. Residents have full use of all the family rooms in the house, surrounding gardens, and fields.
Accommodation and Facilities
Each resident has their own single bedroom complete with washing facilities. They are encouraged to personalise their bedrooms as long as this does not present any danger to themselves or our staff. Their own key is also available to their bedrooms. Residents are also encouraged to socialise in the communal rooms however, they are free to choose to stay in their own rooms. Foel Farm has six bedrooms and several communal rooms that are divided as follows:
Ground Floor:
Lounge – Library - Dining Room – Bathroom - Wet Room – Utility Room - Conservatory/Boot Room – Kitchen - Several Storage Rooms
First Floor:
Six Single Rooms with Washing Facilities – Bathroom - Storage Room - Airing Cupboard
Social Rooms
There is the lounge, library, conservatory, and the dining room on the ground floor with a covered outdoor space better known as the ‘games room’. This can be used any time for various activities and has proved very useful during periods of inclement weather. In addition, all rooms within the house have central heating.
